Position Summary

As a Staff Accountant at Absolute Numbers, specializing in craft beverage manufacturing, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing the financial processes for our clients in this dynamic industry. This position demands a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and adaptability, ensuring the financial health and compliance of our clients' businesses.

Role and Responsibilities

Stewardship

  • Maintain and manage accurate financial records and statements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.

Customer Experience

  • Provide exceptional service to our clients, understanding their unique needs and offering tailored financial solutions.
  • Maintain professional presence and communication during client interactions.
  • Foster long-term relationships based on trust and reliability.

Technical Performance

  • QuickBooks Online and Desktop mastery is essential, requiring the ability to navigate and manipulate complex financial data, perform intricate reconciliations, and generate detailed reports that aid in strategic decision-making.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools to analyze financial information, identify trends, and present findings in a clear, actionable format.
  • Adept at integrating new financial software and tools into existing systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations. This includes setting up and managing digital payment systems like bill.com, ensuring seamless accounts payable processes.
  • A strong understanding of financial regulations and standards specific to the craft beverage manufacturing industry is preferred. This includes knowledge of tax implications, compliance requirements, and best practices in financial management within the sector.
  • The ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within financial systems and software, ensuring minimal disruption to financial operations, is critical.
  • The candidate should exhibit a continuous improvement mindset, proactively seeking out and implementing technological advancements and software updates to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving financial landscape.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred. Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum three years of experience using QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
  • Proven record of accomplishment in managing accounts payable.
  • Experience in a multi-client environment, ideally within the craft beverage industry.
  • Strong analytical research skills and ability to analyze content and solve problems effectively.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.

· Strong project management experience and ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects.

· Experience managing budgets is a plus.

Technology and Equipment

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Desktop is required.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with bill.com is an advantage.
  • Must have a private and secure home office space. You will be provided with a laptop.
  • Ability to use the internet for research, communications, and training.

Additional Information

  • Initial part-time position with 12-15 hours per week, expected to increase to 20-25 hours by the end of summer.
  • Potential for full-time position later in the year.

  • While regular travel is not anticipated, there may be an occasional trip.
