Position Summary

The Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth of Absolute Numbers and providing exceptional services to our clients. This position involves managing monthly closes, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance, supporting staff, and leading various accounting projects.

 Role and ResponsibilitiesStewardship

  • Oversee monthly client accounting file closures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure adherence to all tax and compliance obligations, including year-end reporting.

 Customer Experience

  • Maintain effective communication with clients to accurately reflect their financial activities.
  • Present a professional demeanor during client interactions, building trust and long-term relationships.

 Technical Performance

  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online with a minimum of 5 years of experience, adept at troubleshooting and optimizing its use for client accounts.
  • Skilled in Excel, capable of creating complex spreadsheets to analyze data and develop control tools.
  • Lead in the implementation of new systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Responsible for preparing financial forecasts, operating budgets, and cash flow projections.

 Learning and Growth

  • Support and train staff accountants on accounting procedures and principles.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting and financial management.
  • Actively seek opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement.

 Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred. Master’s degree is a plus.

 Experience

  • Seven plus years experience in managing accounting functions for manufacturing, restaurant groups, or small businesses.
  • Certified Management Accountant is a definite plus.
  • Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online and a wizard in Excel.
  • Experience in a multi-client environment, ideally within the craft beverage industry and small businesses.
  • Strong analytical research skills and ability to analyze content and solve problems effectively.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.

·        Strong project management experience and ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects.

·        Experience managing budgets is a plus.

 Technology

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Desktop is required.
  • Ability to adapt to and learn new technology swiftly.
  • Familiarity with bill.com is an advantage.
  • Must have a private and secure home office space. You will be provided with a laptop.
  • Ability to use the internet for research, communications, and training.

 

Note: This position starts at 20 hours per week with the potential for full-time growth, offering a competitive salary, paid time off, bonuses, and a 401k.

 

Travel

  • While regular travel is not anticipated, there may be an occasional trip.
